90s Bathrooms Transformations

90s Bathrooms Transformations

Happy April! I cannot believe we’re firmly into spring and I’m heading back to High Point Market this weekend! Be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up with all the goodness I’ll be sharing in my stories!

Before I go, I had to share the details of these dramatic bathroom renovations! At the beginning of the year, we started to tackle two bathrooms in a 1994 home that needed some TLC. Since these are not the primarily bathroom used, they had been sorely neglected.

The full bathroom was sporting the infamous brass vanity light over a standard builders mirror. The floor was a sheet linoleum product with emerald green “marble” accents that had surely seen better days.

The shower was an “all in one” unit that is installed in so many homes, but after years of wear and tear, was begging to be replaced.

The powder room was rocking wallpaper that screamed 1994 and had a tiny pedestal sink.

BEFORE

Pfister kindly provided beautiful Rhen fixtures for both of these bathrooms. For the half bath, we opted for the brush gold finish and in the full bath we opted for the matte black.

One of my favorite details is the flush shower release! How sleek is this? Watch the video below to see how clean it looks.

In case you missed the first post sharing the design details, click here! In order to reuse the existing cabinet and complement the stunning new Rhen fixtures, we applied new wallpaper to the “wet wall” in the full bathroom. I found these round mirrors at Homegoods and the were the perfect scale for this space! I love that they are a deep gold that really contrasts nicely with everything else! The new cultured marble countertop with wave bowls is a tremendous update to what was there. No more emerald green swirl and tiny sinks!

I also reused these vintage prints that are from Jamaica! Placing them in floating glass frames made them shine in an all new way.

The powder room also got fresh new wallpaper and a new pedestal sink + toilet. We added glass shelves above the toilet to make a place for storage and display.

After

We could not be more pleased with how both bathrooms came out! Not only are the beautiful, they are more energy efficient with new plumbing fixtures and toilets. Thank you so much to Pfister for sponsoring these makeovers!
