KBIS 2020 Recap #1
You guys I had an amazing time with the Design Hounds crew in Las Vegas last month!
Taking in all the goodness displayed at KBIS was a dream come true. If you’ve never heard of KBIS before, it is the premier tradeshow for Kitchen and Bath Industry companies to showcase their latest and greatest. We got to receive hands-on instruction about what’s innovative from brands around the world!
Moreover, connecting with and learning the stories of the other 14 ladies was truly a joy. We all were united from all over the country (and Canada!) and each had different perspectives to share. It never ceases to amaze me how the career paths of current designer and bloggers vary!
Let me share a little bit of what I saw. This is truly just a peek!
COMPAC SURFACES
Based in Spain, Compac surfaces company had probably my favorite booth of everything we saw. They had these incredible carved tubs and pedestal sinks that would be showstoppers in any home. I especially loved this leatherette finish on this beautiful black marble slab. Did you know that they use vegetable oil to create interesting veining in cultured marble?
THERMADOR
How stunning is this Thermador range with blue knobs! They complement the beautiful backsplash and the tailored vent hood above. Why not have a pop of color in your kitchen? And the “Barking Lot'“ they assembled for dog lovers was just too cute. I know a few clients who would love to have a special place to prepare and store their homemade dog treats!
NOBILIA
This German cabinetry manufacturer wow’d us with their thorough presentation on the cabinetry trends that are sweeping the nation right now. One of the facts that stuck out to me the most is that in Europe, homeowners treat their cabinetry like furniture! They don’t adhere it to the walls in permanent manner because they typically take it with them when & if they more. They also love to play with color when they can, even though this matte black moment was a favorite of mine in the booth. Nobilia aspires to be the “Mercedes Benz” of cabinetry in America, so look out for more of them!
There was so much to see, I literally couldn’t get to it all! Thank you Design Hounds and Modenus for making this experience so lovely for us all! This post is sponsored, but all opinions are my own.
