Tabitha Brown For Target
I remember when I first discovered Tabitha Brown. In the video, she was in her car eating a vegan sandwich from Whole Foods and she was so expressive about how it tasted so good to her. I was immediately drawn in by her familiar North Carolina vernacular and her excitement about finding “fast food” that was vegan and delicious! I don’t know if this video went viral in the same way that her later videos did, but it was such a great introduction to the light that Tabitha is. If you haven’t seen it, watch it here!
Fast forward to 2022 , Tabitha has just released her second collection with Target after her clothing collection was such a success. This time, she’s brought her signature style to home decor, furniture and stationery items! I have to admit, when it was released in June, I missed the opportunity to get the items I saw that I liked because I was in Washington for the Meridian conference. I’m still regretting that I didn’t snag one of the clothing pieces that I wanted, so this time around I’m not going to miss out!
Very Good Notebook - Because I am a native North Carolinian like Tabitha when she says “Very Good” in her thoroughly southern drawl, it feels like home to me! Every time I hear her say it, it just warms my heart. Also, I appreciate a sturdy ringed notebook with a hardcover because it can withstand being tossed around and still look neat!
Footed Ceramic Candle - I cannot live without candles in my home. I prefer them over plug-in air fresheners because I can control when and/or how much scent I want and where in my home. I love to light a candle as part of my wind-down routine at the end of the day. Having one that is in a pretty vibrant (reusable!) ceramic vessel is an absolute plus.
Lemon Ottoman - This print is just signature Tabitha and would bring so much joy to any space. But also because Tabitha is vocal about being a woman of faith, seeing an ottoman in her home decor collection just made me think of the scripture that says God will make your enemies a footstool. I can only imagine the “footstools” that Tabitha has overcome in order to get to the national platform that she is on today!
Velvet Pillow - I just love how Tabitha incorporates her love of nature into all of her designs. Whether it is the vibrant tropical colors, sunset hues or floral motifs, there is always some hint of the joy that comes from the things only the Greatest Designer could create.
My Business Notebook - No lie, my husband’s Auntie Drina is the biggest Tabitha Brown fan I know! She says “cause that’s my business” all the time exactly like her and it just tickles her! When Auntie Drina was visiting NC last November and Tabitha Brown was speaking at an event here in Raleigh, we had to get her a ticket so she could experience her internet favorite in person. Now, I need to send her one of these cute small notebooks.
Candle - Almost every candle I purchase has a lid because I hate blowing out candles and smelling the smoke. Having a lid that I can use to extinguish the candle is important, so this candle is both beautiful and functional.
